Jay L. Shein is chairman of the Council On Examinations formerly Known as the Board of Examiners for the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. Jay also teaches in the IMCA Certified Investment Analyst Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. This is his 9th year teaching in this program. He also teaches Investments for Local Universities since 1996 and has taught these classes for Nova Southeastern University Graduate School of business (in the Masters of Accounting program), Florida State University, Florida Gulf Coast University and currently Barry University.

He is the Chief Investment Officer and Strategist for the Compass Financial Group in South Florida, a 46 year old firm. Additionally he is the Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of Investment Consulting. He is published in professional journals and publications and frequently lectures to financial, tax and legal professionals.
