John O. Everett, Ph.D., CPA, is Professor of Accounting at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Dr. Everett has served as a speaker and instructor for numerous professional education programs, including the national training courses of Ernst & Young and McGladrey & Pullen. A graduate of Oklahoma State University, he has authored or coauthored a number of articles in academic and professional journals. He is the coauthor of several textbooks, including TaxPoint, coauthored with Cherie Hennig as the first interactive tax textbook on the Web. He recently received the Outstanding Service Award from the American Taxation Association, and shared the AICPA Tax Article of the Year Award in 2002 with Cherie Hennig for their article on the individual alternative minimum tax.
Cherie Hennig, Ph.D., M.B.A., is Professor and Faculty Director of the Executive Master's of Science in Taxation Program at Florida International University. Dr. Hennig began her career as an IRS Revenue Agent in Denver, CO. She has taught undergraduate and graduate tax courses at Florida International University, Colorado State University, the University of South Florida, and Virginia Tech. She has published articles in leading tax journals, has co-authored tax texts, and has written and taught continuing professional education courses. She is a member of the American Taxation Association, the American Institute of CPAs and the National Association of Tax Professionals.
William A. Raabe, Ph.D., CPA, teaches tax courses in the Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University. A graduate of Carroll College (WI) and the University of Illinois, Dr. Raabe's other books include Federal Taxation, Federal Tax Research, and Fundamentals of California Income Taxation. He has written estate planning software used widely by tax professionals and several popular web-based tax courses. Dr. Raabe has been a visiting tax faculty member for a number of public accounting firms, bar associations, and CPA societies. He has received numerous teaching awards, including the Accounting Educator of the Year award from the Wisconsin Institute of CPAs. | |
