President Signs Another Highway Funding Extension

With a compromise agreement on highway funding legislation still not finalized, Congress passed and the President signed on July 22, 2005 an additional six-day extension of current funding to July 27, 2005. It remains somewhat unclear what tax provisions are likely to survive the conference committee on the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, and Efficient Transportation Equity Bill (HR 3).
