President Signs Another Highway Funding Extension

With a compromise agreement on highway funding legislation still not finalized, Congress passed and the President signed on July 20, 2005 an additional two day extension of current funding to July 21, 2005. Reports out of the conference committee on the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, and Efficient Transportation Equity Bill (HR 3) indicate that an additional extension is probably going to be necessary, with the most difficult issue focused on allocations to the states.
