What is IntelliForms?
IntelliForms is CCH’s new interactive forms product. It provides the forms you need, when and where you need them. Similar to perform plus III, IntelliForms is a desk top application that contains thousands of interactive forms.

What are the key features of IntelliForms?
  • Intuitive and easy to use: IntelliForms is easy to learn and use with its simple interface. IntelliForms always opens to the Blank Forms Manager where you may open a blank form, add a new form for a client, print a blank form, or open the instructions to a form.
  • Easy form searching: Use the Filters and/or Search functions to find your desired form in the Blank Forms Manager. Your search begins as soon as you start typing.
  • Tabs for easy organization of forms: IntelliForms provides several different tabs to organize your forms. The Blank Forms Manager or tab lists all the forms available in your subscription. The Client Forms Manager or tab lists all your saved forms—organized by client. The Profiles tab stores your client profiles.
  • Client organized: IntelliForms organizes your data by client, the same way as you approach your workflow. All client forms for a single year are stored together and can be accessed easily from the Client Forms tab.
  • Real time updates: IntelliForms checks for the latest version of a form each time you open a form so you never have to worry that you are working with an older version.
  • Draft forms: Unlike perform plus III, draft forms are developed and available for use on IntelliForms. And, even better, if you fill out a draft version of the form, your data will carry to the final version of the form upon its release!
  • Archives: IntelliForms includes interactive versions of forms for 2005 to the present. Also included as part of your IntelliForms subscription is access to an online library of forms in PDF format going back to 1998.
  • Worksheets: On IntelliForms, data from a worksheet will transfer to its related form. Note that data will not transfer from form to form, but it will transfer from worksheet to form and from draft to final version of a form.
  • Links to form instructions: As in perform plus III, IntelliForms provides access from each form to the relevant section of official instructions for that form.
  • Links to CCH® Tax Prep Partner Series™: IntelliForms includes links directly from commonly used Federal forms to explanatory, compliance-focused research content related to the linked form field.

How is IntelliForms different from perform plus III?
Like perform plus III, IntelliForms is an interactive forms product. IntelliForms has the same great features as perform plus III and more. For example, in IntelliForms, worksheets are attached to the parent form and data will flow from the worksheet to the form. Additionally, all client forms for a single year are stored together to make your workflow easier.

How is IntelliForms different from ZillionForms?
IntelliForms was built on the ZillionForms platform, so ZillionForms customers shouldn't have any problems transitioning. Many enhancements and updates were made to IntelliForms, so you should find it even better than ZillionForms.

Is IntelliForms automatically included in my subscription?
If your subscription currently includes perform plus III or ZillionForms, you will have access to the same forms set on IntelliForms. If your current subscription does not include perform plus III or ZillionForms, you will have not access to any forms on IntelliForms. To add IntelliForms to your subscription, please call your CCH sales representative (888-224-7377).

When will 2009 tax forms be available in IntelliForms?
Tax forms for the 2009 tax year will be available in IntelliForms beginning on December 16, 2009. A draft version of the form will be available if the final version is not yet released or been approved by the appropriate agency.

How can I tell when a form will be available in IntelliForms?
IntelliForms includes a "Forms Release Schedule" that lists the dates IntelliForms expects to post forms approved for paper filing. To access the "Forms Release Schedule", go to the Support menu in IntelliForms and click on "Forms Release Schedule".

When do I transition from perform plus III to IntelliForms?
IntelliForms will be available for download from the IntelliConnect home page beginning on October 16, 2009. You will have access to both IntelliForms and perform plus III through the end of 2009 so you can choose the best time to transition to IntelliForms. We encourage you to download the new software as soon as it becomes available so you can begin enjoying its benefits.

How do I transition to IntelliForms?
Beginning on October 16, 2009, simply download the IntelliForms software from IntelliConnect or from the CCH Tax/Internet Research Network. Once the download is complete, you are ready to start using IntelliForms!

Where do I find IntelliForms on IntelliConnect?
IntelliForms is included with your IntelliConnect subscription as a separate application. You can download IntelliForms directly from the IntelliConnect home page under the "Downloads" heading. Alternatively, you can just search for "IntelliForms" in the search box on IntelliConnect and filter under "practice tools" to find the download link.

Once you download IntelliForms, you can launch it by clicking on the IntelliForms (IF) icon on your desktop.

Where do I find IntelliForms on the CCH Tax/Internet Research Network?
IntelliForms is included with your Tax/Internet Research Network as a separate application. You can download IntelliForms from the “Interactive Forms” tab on the Tax Research Network or from the same location as the perform plus IIII download on the Internet Research Network.

Once you download IntelliForms, you can launch it by clicking on the IntelliForms (IF) icon on your desktop. The first time you open the application, you will land on the “Access” tab of the “Preference” dialogue box. In the box labeled “IntelliConnect Username:” type your Tax/Internet Research Network ID number; in the box labeled “IntelliConnect Password:” type your Tax/Internet Research Network password, and then click Apply. This will authenticate the forms sets included in your subscription.

How do I access IntelliForms once I’ve downloaded it?
IntelliForms is a desktop application. Similar to perform plus III, once you have downloaded IntelliForms, you open the application by clicking the IF icon on your desktop.

Can I continue to use perform plus III even after I’ve downloaded IntelliForms?
You will have dual access to perform plus III and IntelliForms from October 16, 2009, through December 31, 2009. Downloading IntelliForms does not preclude you from using perform plus III during this period.

How long will perform plus III be supported?
perform plus III will continue to be supported through the end of 2009. Tax forms for tax year 2009 will not be developed for perform plus III. To access the 2009 library of forms (available in December 2009), you must use IntelliForms.

Will I lose all the profiles I’ve created in perform plus III?
Profiles created for perform plus III can be imported into IntelliForms, either individually or in a batch, so you will not have to recreate them on the new platform.

How do I continue to access my saved perform plus III forms once I transition to IntelliForms?
As long as you retain perform plus III on your computer, you can access your saved forms by opening perform plus III from your desktop or hard drive. If you switch to a new computer and still have access to the computer with perform plus III installed, you can access saved perform plus III forms by doing the following:

  1. Request an archive PPIII CD, along with the applicable access code, from CCH Customer Support and install PPIII on the new computer
  2. On the “old” computer navigate to the folder that contained your saved perform plus III forms - the default location is: C:\Wolters Kluwer\WKForms
  3. Copy the \WKForms folder to a thumb drive, writeable DVD, etc.
  4. Copy the \WKForms folder from the thumb drive, writeable DVD, etc., as a subfolder under the C:\Wolter Kluwer folder (overwriting the \WKForms folder) on the new computer
  5. Your saved perform plus III forms will be accessible within perform plus III on your new computer

When do I transition from ZillionForms to IntelliForms?

How do I transition to IntelliForms?

Why do I need to register for IntelliConnect?
Because IntelliForms is downloaded from IntelliConnect, you must first register on IntelliConnect. Registration on IntelliConnect is fast and easy. Your user ID on IntelliConnect is your email address and you choose your password.

ZillionForms was a CD-ROM application and IntelliForms is a desktop application.
Kleinrock subscribers who formerly received ZillionForms will now transition to the desktop IntelliForms product. ZillionForms was only provided on CD-ROM; with IntelliForms, users will simply be able to download the application to their desktop or their company’s server.

How long will ZillionForms be supported?
ZillionForms customers will receive the archive 2008 disk in late October/early November as in previous years. This will be last ZillionForms disk you receive.

Will I lose the profiles I’ve created in ZillionForms?
Profiles created for ZillionForms can be imported into IntelliForms, either individually or in a batch, so you will not have to recreate them on the new platform.

How do I continue to access my saved ZillionForms forms once I transition to IntelliForms?

How do I install IntelliForms on IntelliConnect?
To install IntelliForms log onto IntelliConnect and click "Downloads and Forms" on the left hand pane. Select IntelliForms and you will be linked to the download page for IntelliForms. Follow the download instructions provided.

How do I access IntelliForms from IntelliConnect?
IntelliForms is a desktop application that you initially download from IntelliConnect to your desktop. Once you have downloaded the IntelliForms software, you simply click on the IntelliForms (IF) icon on your desktop to open the program.

How do I install and access IntelliForms from TRN?
IntelliForms is included with your Tax/Internet Research Network as a separate application. You can download IntelliForms from the “Interactive Forms” tab on the Tax Research Network or from the same location as the perform plus IIII download on the Internet Research Network.

What training will be available for us as we transition to IntelliForms?
An IntelliForms tutorial is available for you to view. It explains how to get up and running on the application. The application also has a number of tutors and help files to answer all your questions. In addition, we encourage you to register for the free online training we are providing.

What should I do if I need help during this transition?
Visit the IntelliForms Help Center at CCHGroup.com/IntelliForms or contact customer service at 1-800-344-3734. You can also visit the CCH customer support web site at Support.CCH.com.

I just moved from perform plus III to IntelliForms and I don't know where to start. What should I do?
