RULES OF THE CONTEST

This is a free contest that is subject to the restrictions stated below. The Contest runs through June 30, 2000. All entries must be on the official entry form provided and must be postmarked and received by CCH via mail or e-mail before midnight (CST) June 30, 2000. You may enter only once. You must be 18 years or older. You must be a resident of the U.S. You cannot be an employee or an immediate family member of an employee of CCH, or its affiliates, subsidiaries, and agencies. No purchase is necessary.

All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. The laws of the State of Illinois apply. Taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

One prize will be awarded, a Palm VII™ electronic organizer, retail value $449, and is not transferable. No cash equivalent or prize substitutions available to contestant. CCH reserves the right to award a substitute prize of equal or greater value. The winner will be selected by CCH and announced on July 7, 2000.

CCH IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LATE, LOST OR MISDIRECTED ENTRIES, OR COMPUTER, ONLINE, TELEPHONE, OR TECHNICAL MALFUNCTIONS THAT MAY OCCUR.

The winner will be selected in a random drawing from among the eligible entries received. The winner is subject to confirmation. Should the winner be disqualified, an alternate winner will be selected by CCH. All decisions of CCH are final. The winner will be notified by telephone. The odds of winning depend upon the total number of entries received.

All entries become the property of CCH and the winner consents to the use of his or her name, likeness, and articles relating to the winner can be used by CCH in CCH's advertising, promotional activities or written publications.
