Learn Why and How You Need to Discuss IFRS with Your Clients — NOW!

Experts say it will take at least two years to convert your clients’ policies, procedures and systems to conform with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) — which many expect to replace U.S. GAAP early in the next decade. And the beginning balance sheet should be two years prior to conversion.

Join internationally recognized accounting expert and instructor, Cecil Nazareth, CPA, M.B.A., ACA on Tuesday, November 17, for a timely and informative two-hour program that explains why CPA firms of all sizes may already be at risk of losing clients if they’re not up to speed on IFRS. Mr. Nazareth will help you understand the sweeping implications of IFRS on your clients’ financial statements and map the critical differences between rules-based and principles-based accounting. Nazareth will provide a practical roadmap for getting up to speed quickly on the new standards — which the recent G-20 Summit endorsed — without feeling overwhelmed. He’ll also share recommendations for streamlining first-time adoption of IFRS for small to mid-size firms, walk you through real-life examples, such as inventory and fixed asset accounting under the new rules, and show how savvy SME firms are already developing practice niches in IFRS advisory services.

If you have clients doing cross-border transactions, particularly in Canada, Japan, China or India, you can’t afford to miss this CCH audio seminar. Time will be provided for you to ask questions to Mr. Nazareth via phone or e-mail during the presentation.
