Dear CCH Learning Center Subscriber, Welcome to the September issue of Focus on Learning, the monthly newsletter for the CCH Learning Center that provides insights on how to use the Learning Center to your full advantage and updates on new courses and features available to you. In each issue we highlight a course (or series of courses) on a timely topic, and let you know about new courses released in the Learning Center. We also inform you of new useful features, provide helpful tips on existing features, and help you use the CCH Learning Center to meet your professional development and CPE needs. What's newRecent Tax Developments series! The Learning Center strives to provide you with current information and practical guidance in using the rules to your clients' best advantage. CCH's new Recent Tax Developments series meets both of these goals. This new series keeps you apprised of important cases, regulations, rulings and other IRS pronouncements that may impact your clients. Released bi-monthly, the each course in the series will also provide planning tips and techniques to help you correctly apply the new rules in your practice. See the Course Spotlight for information on this new series. Tax Update Catalog! To help you easily find our Recent Tax Developments courses, we have added a new Tax Update Catalog to our site. In addition to the Recent Tax Developments series, you will also find courses covering tax legislation and other news in the Tax Update Catalog. Check out the Learning Center's CPE Tax Updates Catalog page to see our current line of courses covering tax news. Course SpotlightRecent Tax Development series: In this new, ongoing bi-monthly series of courses, Sidney Kess and Barbara Weltman will provide you with an overview of the latest tax news. They will review what is happening or is about to happen on the tax scene, and provide planning pointers to help you take advantage of the latest changes. The inaugural issue of Recent Tax Developments is especially timely. It reviews new legislation on grants to victims of floods, and guidance in helping clients through natural disasters. The course will also review recent developments impacting health plans, inherited annuities and other issues. Learn about this course here. Recent Tax Developments (July-August 2005) reviews important cases, regulations, rulings and other IRS pronouncements that may be useful to your clients, or help you in stay current in your practice or business. Audio Conference: Year-End Tax Planning Ideas for Individual and Small Business ClientsCCH recently added live audio conferences to its range of educational options.
