Invest in Your Employees and Immediately Increase their Productivity

Investing in top talent through relevant training is essential to the growth and prosperity of any business. Why not make that investment a competitive advantage and a smart recruitment tool, just as the large firms do?

The newly formed CCH Learning & Development Academy offers a comprehensive solution for your immediate and long term training needs. Our inaugural launch includes the School of Audit, an excellent way to accelerate your firm’s auditing credentials, invest in your top talent, and implement a standard learning solution for your entire team. Read what participants in the first session had to say about the experience here.

The professional training courses in the School of Audit will invigorate your staff members and add immediate value to the firm through:

  • An all-inclusive curriculum that brings together three essential types of training — technical accounting, software tools, and professional skills — into an integrated, workflow-intensive program tailored for specific organizational roles.
  • Compelling, state-of-the-art content brought into real-world focus through a workflow-based course design. When the course is over, staff members hit the ground running with new knowledge, skills and confidence.
  • Hands-on training with software applications that support the work of audit professionals. These products include ProSystem fx® Engagement, Accounting Research Manager™, ProSystem fx® Knowledge Coach and Knowledge Tools®, as well as Microsoft Excel® and Adobe Acrobat.®

Increase Firm Realization

Implementing an internal training program usually involves taking high-producing associates out of their work environment in order to train others – resulting in less billable hours. Or it can mean using a variety of training vendors, risking duplication, gaps in content, or a program that misses the mark because it doesn’t account for differences in experience. Both these approaches usually involve administrative hassles and less-than satisfying results, and a corresponding downturn in realization rates.

The Academy offers a sound alternative: an all-encompassing training program that works well with your on-boarding processes and your staff’s diverse roles. An easy-to-administer, standardized learning approach, tailored to the needs of your firm, will reward you with immediate returns, and add the long-term value of a cohesive, highly functioning team.

A Hands-on Interactive Experience

Gone are the days of dull, inefficient training: Academy courses are built for the way effective workplace learning happens. In these well-designed programs, your firm members will participate in learning exercises that are designed for their specific roles and closely mirror their day-to-day responsibilities. They will work with real-world case studies and scenarios that are directly relevant to the work of your firm.

The consultative approach of our instructors, coupled with their significant experience in the public accounting industry, ensures the relevance of the programs to your organization. Academy instructors are passionate about guiding students to effectively prepare for their new responsibilities.

Partner with a Proven Leader in Setting the Right Course

At CCH, we have a long track record of success in all forms of training and development for the tax and accounting industry. With the CCH Academy of Learning & Development, we are once again responding to the needs in the marketplace. The School of Audit and our initial course offerings are an exciting beginning to our visionary approach to learning for this industry. Additional audit courses, and then new Schools such as the School of Tax and the School of Information Technology will follow as the Academy expands.

The Academy will offer a certification path, and encourage and support alumni of the program through the Academy Alumni Community, where they can discuss and share technical and business knowledge with their peers.

Regional Events (Open Enrollment Classes)

Classes will be held regularly in regionally-convenient cities, with locations in the East, the West and Midwest. The frequency of the regional seminars should fit any firm’s hiring/promotion schedules and provide immediate training for firm employees in a new role.

On-Site Training Events

Firms with more than five staff/associates for a given program should consider our On-site format as it may be more cost effective or more convenient. Any level of training can be held on-site at your firm.
